November 12th, 2007 - Emmy award winning film & TV composer and international recording artist Michael Whalen will take the stage at New World Stages in New York City to create «Music in the Dark 5». One part film festival - one part improvised musical experience, «Music in the Dark» is witnessing Michael create musical "scores" on-the-spot for 8 silent films selected from hundreds of film and video entries.
«Music in the Dark» is thrilled to announce our partnership with international disaster-relief organization, AmeriCares. The partnership has enabled us to focus our silent film search and selection process down to a single type of film: «Music in the Dark 5» will feature films that celebrate the human experience.
There will be a pre-party, the performance event and a VIP after party. Proceeds go to AmeriCares.
